FAQs

The active ingredient in ReTrieve cream is tretinoin, a prescription-strength retinoid available in NZ.

Tretinoin is used to treat acne and dry, sun-damaged skin. It is a highly potent, prescription-only topical retinoid. It stimulates new skin cell growth and helps replace and push out dead skin cells. This results in improved skin smoothness, reduced hyperpigmentation and visibly reduced lines and wrinkles.

Tretinoin and retinol are both classified as retinoids. Tretinoin is only available with a prescription from a GP or Dermatologist. Retinol, which is available over-the-counter and found in many skincare products, is less potent.

ReTrieve is the gold standard topical treatment for dry, sun-damaged skin. It restores skin and improves signs of sun damage from 4 months: Including fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and skin texture.

Because it is a strong formula, some people may experience mild irritation when first starting. To minimise this, ReTrieve cream should be introduced gradually as directed by your GP or Dermatologist. Always use as directed and seek medical advice if you experience any unexpected symptoms.

ReTrieve is the gold standard topical treatment for dry, photoaged (also known as sun damaged) skin.

Both Dermatologists and GPs are highly trained and can diagnose and manage key skin concerns. Both can help treat sun damage. In certain circumstances however, the specialist skills of a Dermatologist may be required. They can provide further diagnostic tests or specific treatments.

If you are not seeing the desired results from your current over the counter retinoid, speak to a GP or Dermatologist to determine if ReTrieve would be suitable for you.
